We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced developer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is primarily focused on WordPress (approximately 75% of the work), with the remaining 25% involving development across Next.js, Ruby on Rails, and Express/Node.js projects. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating multiple WordPress websites in maintenance mode, as well as contributing to additional projects built on modern JavaScript and Ruby frameworks. This is a client-facing role, so excellent communication skills are essential.Β

Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on multiple WordPress websites
- Contribute to development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of projects built with Next.js, Ruby on Rails, and Express/Node.js
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise across all platforms
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions
- Implement new features and functionality on existing websites and applications
- Optimize website/application performance and ensure compatibility with different browsers and devices
- Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in WordPress, Next.js, Ruby on Rails, and Node.js ecosystems
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a WordPress developer
- Strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins
- Working experience with Next.js, Ruby on Rails, and/or Express/Node.js
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with website optimization and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- US based with availability during regular business hours
