WordPress Developer with SEO/AEO focus

This is a WordPress Developer/SEO hybrid position.

We are looking for a very detailed focus person who can optimize our sites for organic conversions.

You'll work with diverse clients and help keep the sites optimized.

The Role

1. Build pages in accordance with SEO best practices (metadata, headers, alt text, interlinking, etc.) - we will provide targeted SEO copy
2. Technical SEO creation and implementation with focus on schema and robots (bonus if you have AEO knowledge)
3. QA all elements and ensure mobile-first layouts and indexation
4. Identify broken links, misconfigured tags, crawl inefficiencies, etc.

Skills & Experience

Must-Haves:

• +3 years of hands-on experience with WordPress and front-end development.
• Strong HTML/CSS—you write clean, semantic markup.
• On-page SEO: titles, meta, headings, alt text, and internal linking.
• JSON-LD schema experience using Schema.org and the Rich Results Test.
• Solid understanding of crawlability, indexability, canonicalization, and core web vitals.
• Excellent English skills (C2 level).

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with Webflow, Wix, Shopify, or straight HTML sites.
• Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console workflows.
• Some knowledge of local SEO and Google Business Profile workflows.
• Comfortable with a bit of JavaScript for things like FAQ accordions and basic UI tweaks.

What We Offer

• Schedule: Remote, Monday–Friday, 9am to 5pm EST.
• Compensation: $3,000 per month
• Team: Working directly inside a multi-disciplinary SEO/AEO team
