We are seeking a highly experienced Mid WordPress Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in developing and maintaining custom WordPress themes and plugins, integrating third-party APIs, and optimizing web performance and functionality.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins.
Optimize website performance, ensuring high levels of performance, security, and scalability.
Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance website functionality.
Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and website-related problems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, tech leads and designers to deliver high-quality web solutions.
Lead the deployment process for staging and production environments.
Keep up with WordPress core developments, plugins, and industry best practices.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in web development with at least 1 year specifically in WordPress development, specializing in custom theme and plugin creation.
Proficient in PHP, MySQL/SQL Server/PostgreSQL, JavaScript, Bootstrap/Tailwind.
Experience with page builders and REST API.
Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, including the template hierarchy and the WordPress loop. Familiarity with at least one front-end framework such as React, Vue.js, or Angular.
Experience in technical SEO best practices and tools.
Proficient with version control systems, especially Git.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Understanding of web accessibility standards and practices.
Nice To Have:
Experience with settings, option pages, Advanced Custom Fields
Experience with automatic testing tools like PHPUnit and Cypress.
Experience with eCommerce platforms, particularly WooCommerce.
Experience with headless WordPress architecture and development.
Experience with Figma.
