WordPress Developer (Serbia)
IWConnectWe’re looking for a WordPress Developer to design, build, and maintain modern, high-performance WordPress websites. You’ll work across front-end and back-end development - customising themes, creating plugins, integrating APIs, and ensuring speed, security, and usability.
What you'll do:
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
- Translate designs and requirements into responsive, functional layouts.
- Optimize websites for performance, SEO, and accessibility.
- Manage content updates, plugin versions, and security patches.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and backend developers.
- Troubleshoot issues and propose improvements.
What we're looking for:
- Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Experience with custom WordPress development (themes, plugins, hooks).
- Understanding of WordPress architecture and template hierarchy.
- Familiar with Elementor / Contact Form / REST API integration.
- Experience using Git, local dev environments, and debugging tools.
- Awareness of security, performance, and SEO best practices.
Nice to have:
- API integrations and headless WordPress (REST / GraphQL)
- Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD)
- React Framework
