Purpose of the Role

To build, optimise, and maintain high-performing WordPress websites using Elementor and modern web technologies. This part-time temporary role supports Painter Marketing Pros mission of delivering fast, secure, conversion-driven websites that elevate user experience and strengthen online visibility for our clients.

About the Role

As a Part-Time WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for building, customising, and maintaining WordPress sites that meet technical best practices, SEO standards, and brand requirements. Youll work closely with our project management and marketing teams to translate design and strategy into seamless, functional websites. This position operates remotely on US Eastern Standard Time (EST) and is temporary/project-based, with potential for ongoing collaboration based on performance.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using Elementor and custom CSS/HTML/PHP
  • Implement and configure essential plugins (e.g., RankMath, caching, and security tools)
  • Optimise site performance for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness
  • Manage hosting environments, domain setups, and DNS configurations
  • Implement workflow automations and data connections using Zapier or API integrations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues including plugin conflicts, updates, and errors
  • Ensure websites are secure, fully responsive, and user-friendly across devices and browsers
  • Maintain version control and clean development processes (e.g., Git or staging workflows)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure each site aligns with strategic goals and client outcomes

Requirements

  • Proven experience developing and maintaining WordPress websites (preferably agency or client-based)
  • Deep understanding of Elementor, WordPress architecture, and plugin ecosystems
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP (intermediate level or higher)
  • Experience optimising website performance and implementing SEO best practices
  • Familiarity with RankMath, Cloudflare, and web hosting management (cPanel, WP Engine, etc.)
  • Experience with workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot independently
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and project documentation habits
  • Availability for part-time hours aligned with US Eastern Standard Time (EST)
