WordPress Developer

Role Description

We are looking for a WordPress Developer with around 2+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites. The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in WordPress core, themes, plugins, and front-end customization, with an eye for performance, usability, and responsiveness. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites
• Customize themes and plugins as per business requirements
• Build responsive UI using HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Integrate third-party plugins, APIs, and tools
• Ensure website performance, security, and scalability
• Fix bugs, perform updates, and handle ongoing maintenance
• Collaborate with designers, content teams, and backend developers
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness 

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• 2 years of experience in WordPress development
• Strong knowledge of WordPress core, themes, and plugins
• Experience with PHP in WordPress context
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience with custom post types, hooks, shortcodes
• Knowledge of MySQL basics
• Familiarity with page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, etc.) 

Tools & Practices

• Experience with version control (Git)
• Basic understanding of SEO best practices
• Knowledge of website optimization and security
• Experience working with hosting environments and cPanel

Good to Have

• Experience with WooCommerce
• Knowledge of REST APIs
• Exposure to performance optimization tools
• Familiarity with UI/UX best practices

 Soft Skills

• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong problem-solving mindset 

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred)
