Job Description

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality WordPress websites and applications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in custom theme and plugin development, performance optimization, and working with modern frontend and backend technologies.

You will collaborate closely with designers, content teams, and backend developers to deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly WordPress solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins

• Customize existing themes and plugins based on business requirements

• Build responsive, cross-browser compatible websites

• Integrate third-party APIs, tools, and services

• Optimize website performance, security, and scalability

• Ensure website stability, backups, and regular updates

• Work with designers to implement UI/UX designs accurately

• Troubleshoot issues and fix bugs in WordPress sites

• Follow coding standards and best practices

• Participate in code reviews and Agile development processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in WordPress development

• Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

• Experience with custom theme and plugin development

• Proficiency in WordPress hooks, actions, and filters

• Experience with page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, WPBakery, etc.)

• Strong understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility

• Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations

• Knowledge of website performance optimization and security best practices

• Familiarity with Git / version control

Good to Have (Optional)

• Experience with WooCommerce

• Knowledge of ACF (Advanced Custom Fields)

• Exposure to Headless WordPress

• Basic understanding of SEO best practices

• Experience with cloud hosting or CDN services

• Knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Vue – optional)
