Fractional Senior WordPress Technical Lead (US Remote, Award-Contingent)

Rillbench Studio is recruiting a US-based fractional Senior WordPress Technical Lead for a prospective website redesign, from technical planning through delivery, launch, and handover. Delivery is expected in early 2027 if the project is awarded.

The project has not been awarded. The entire engagement is contingent on project award, funding, and a separate written agreement. This listing invites expressions of interest; it does not promise work, minimum hours, reserved capacity, or a start date. No project work is requested during this recruitment stage. Compensation, scope, and milestones will be negotiated and agreed before any engagement begins.

You would own the technical direction and review standards across the engagement:

- Architecture, maintainable WordPress configuration, and integration decisions

- Migration planning, reconciliation, redirects, and data integrity

- Accessibility, usability, security, and performance review

- Evidence-based milestone acceptance and technical client discussions

- Release readiness, backup and rollback decisions, staff handover, and scoped support

An operator will coordinate day-to-day agent-assisted production. Agents will produce implementation and test artifacts. You will exercise independent technical judgment, review the resulting work, give actionable findings, and have authority to withhold technical acceptance. Please identify any hands-on work or additional specialist coverage you believe is necessary. We are seeking someone interested in the full technical lead role across planning, delivery, launch, and handover.
