Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced WordPress Backend Developer to join our team. You will work on customizing and managing WordPress themes and plugins, writing code in Core PHP and handling MySQL database design and management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PHP development, WordPress customization, and a keen understanding of performance optimization and security practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and manage custom WordPress themes and plugins, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.

Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in Core PHP for WordPress backend functionality, including custom post types, taxonomies, and advanced custom fields.

Optimize and manage WordPress databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.

Integrate third-party APIs and services to extend the functionality of WordPress sites.

Identify and resolve issues related to WordPress functionality, performance, and security.

Work closely with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend components.

Implement and manage caching solutions, optimize site performance, and improve load times.

Implement and maintain best practices for WordPress security to protect against vulnerabilities and attacks.

Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Sound experience in Core PHP development and WordPress backend customization.

Strong knowledge of MySQL and database management.

Familiarity with basic API integration and web services.

Understanding of HTML and CSS.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Experience with other PHP frameworks or CMS platforms is a plus.
