Sr. WordPress Developer

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior WordPress Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be essential in developing and maintaining custom WordPress plugins and themes, integrating third-party APIs, and optimizing web performance and functionality. 

• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins. 
• Optimize website performance, ensuring high levels of speed, security, and scalability. 
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance website functionality. 
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and website-related problems. 
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and expertise. 
• Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress themes and plugins. 
• Optimize website performance, ensuring high-levels of performance, security, and scalability. 
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance website functionality. 
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and website-related problems. 
• Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and expertise. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, content creators, and project managers, to deliver high-quality web solutions. 
• Lead the deployment process for staging and production environments. 
• Keep up with WordPress core developments, plugins, and industry best practices. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in web development with at least 2 years specifically in WordPress development, specializing in custom theme and plugin creation. 
• Proficient in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Bootstrap/Tailwind. 
• Experience in creating block themes in WordPress. 
• Experience with page builders, settings, option pages, Advanced Custom Fields, and REST API.  
• Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, including the template hierarchy and the WordPress loop. 
• Proficient with at least one front-end framework such as React, Vue.js, or Angular. 
• Proficient with version control systems, especially Git. 
• Experience with eCommerce platforms, particularly WooCommerce. 
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously. 
• Knowledge of technical SEO best practices and tools. 
• Understanding of web accessibility standards and practices. 

 Nice To Have: 

• Experience with automatic testing tools like PHPUnit and Cypress. 
• Experience with modern web development tools like Gulp, Grunt, Docker, Composer, etc.   
• Experience with headless WordPress architecture and development.  
• Experience with Figma.
