Senior Frontend WordPress Developer (with UI/UX + Graphic Design Experience) - Operating within Europe + Asia Time Zones

FULL-TIME - CONTRACT/FREELANCE

Digital Content Kings (digitalcontentkings.co) are a full stack marketing agency, working across a range of businesses and industries. The majority of the team work remotely between London, Sri Lanka and various states across Australia.

Our client base includes Startup Fashion Brands, Renewable Energy Companies, Surf & Yoga Retreats, Luxury Villas, Boutique Hotels, Travel & Tourism Startups, Tours Operators, Trade & Service Companies, Beauty & Cosmetics, Telecommunication companies, Tech companies and more.

We are looking for the absolute best and value your quality of work over qualifications. You will be part of a team who is responsible for building a high-end web presence for both international and local clients. Projects include mostly Responsive, SEO optimized Website development on WordPress. This is a hands-on role that includes planning, designing, coding, debugging, testing, deployment and team leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS

• Ability to build websites, prototypes and applications using the latest front­end technologies.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in building WordPress CMS websites using the best practice & de­facto standard plugins.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Work with other development team members to distil internal and customer needs into requirements and tech specs.
• Drive high engineering standards on the team through code review, automated testing, and mentoring.
• Participate in reviewing design and code for other team members.
• Adhere to agile development principles while following and improving all aspects of the scrum process.
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability.
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end.
• Understand client requirements and translate them into proper UX and UI functionality
• Configuring & customizing WordPress, WP plug-ins & integrating with other tools.
• Work closely with digital strategists, SEO specialists & designers

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, information systems, or related.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in Frontend Development or related role.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of building WordPress CMS websites using the best practice & de­facto standard plugins.
• Ability to build websites, prototypes and applications using the latest front­end technologies
• Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions | Creation of plugins/widgets written to conform with Wordpress coding standards | Theme/template integration | Knowledge on WooCommerce is beneficial.
• Hands-on experience in custom WordPress development, IPG integration, Single Page Application & RESTful web services will be a plus
• Some experience in design tools like Figma or Adobe XD will be a plus
• Experience in working in an Agile environment
• Proven graphic designing experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
