We are looking for a highly skilled WordPress Developer and Website Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in website development, with a focus on WordPress, having expertise in managing and maintaining a dynamic website, and exposure to an open-source Learning Management Systems (LMS).
As a WordPress Developer and Website Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining websites, creating user-friendly interfaces, and integrating LMS software. Your role would also entail monitoring analytics using Google Analytics, traffic management, website optimization, and close liaison with other team members to improve traffic to the website.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain organization website(s) using WordPress.
Create appealing interfaces and navigation for visitors.
Develop custom plugins for us when needed.
Integrate 3rd Party APIs with our WordPress site.
Collaborate with designers to implement new website features and designs.
Ensure website functionality and performance, including page load speed and mobile responsiveness.
Manage and maintain the website, including updates, backups, and security.
Monitor website analytics and implement SEO strategies (with feedback from SEO Team) to improve website traffic and rankings.
Collaborate with content creators to ensure website content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with brand standards.
Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and trends, and recommend improvements to website functionality and design.
Integrate 3rd-party Learning Management System (LMS) into the website.
Troubleshoot website issues (including site crashes, broken links, and error messages) and provide technical support.
Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies.
Create a knowledge-base of best practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to develop a talent pool.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2+ years of experience in WordPress development and website management.
Strong knowledge of securely integrating 3rd-Party tools and services.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL.
Experience with website analytics and SEO strategies.
Knowledge of website security best practices and experience in implementing security measures.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently as well as with a strong tech team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an eye for detail.
