Job Overview:

As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites and applications. You will work closely with our design and development teams to ensure high-quality, scalable, and performant solutions. Your expertise will help drive our projects to success and enhance our digital presence.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins to meet client requirements and business objectives.

Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and other stakeholders to implement responsive and visually appealing websites.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress performance, security, and functionality.

Optimize websites for performance, including speed and SEO.

Ensure cross-browser compatibility and adherence to web standards.

Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to junior developers.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.

Participate in project planning, estimation, and resource allocation.

Maintain and update documentation for code, processes, and best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

4-8 years of professional experience in WordPress development.

Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Extensive experience with WordPress theme and plugin development.

Familiarity with popular page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery).

Experience with custom post types, taxonomies, and advanced custom fields (ACF).

Knowledge of responsive design principles and best practices.

Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with WooCommerce and e-commerce integrations.

Familiarity with REST APIs and third-party API integrations.

Knowledge of website optimization tools and techniques.

Experience with deployment workflows and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

Understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.
