Job Overview:
The WordPress Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites using the WordPress platform. This role requires expertise in WooCommerce, plugin customization, PHP development, and multisite implementation. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality web solutions that meet business needs. Depending on experience, the position may be at the Associate or Software Engineer level.
Responsibilities:
WordPress & WooCommerce Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain WordPress and WooCommerce websites from scratch
or enhance existing sites.
- Customize and implement themes, plugins, and functionality to meet client
requirements.
- Implement and maintain WooCommerce integrations, ensuring seamless shopping
experiences and features.
Plugin Customization:
- Develop custom plugins or modify existing ones to extend WordPress and
WooCommerce functionality.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve plugin-related issues to ensure smooth
performance.
Multisite Implementation:
- Configure and manage WordPress multisite networks for scaling businesses with
multiple sites.
- Ensure multisite platforms run smoothly, managing subsites, themes, and plugins
across the network.
PHP Development:
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable PHP code.
- Ensure website performance, security, and scalability through advanced PHP
development.
Theme Customization:
- Customize existing themes or build custom themes from scratch to fit client needs.
- Optimize themes for responsiveness, speed, and SEO.
Ongoing Maintenance & Support:
- Regularly update WordPress core, plugins, and themes to maintain compatibility and
security.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for websites, plugins, and custom
features.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver high-
quality projects on time.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide
technical solutions.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress and WooCommerce development.
- Proficient in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with WooCommerce customization, product management, and payment gateway
- integration.
- Solid understanding of WordPress multisite configurations and management.
- Strong experience with custom plugin development and customization.
- Familiarity with theme development and customization.
- Expertise in debugging and resolving technical issues related to WordPress websites.
- Strong knowledge of web standards, security, and best practices for WordPress
- development.
- Ability to write clean, well-documented code and work independently or in a team.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Preferred Skills: Β
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Knowledge of PHP and MySQL for custom WordPress development.
- Familiarity with page builders such as Elementor or WPBakery.
