The Senior WordPress Developer plays a crucial role in our organization by leading WordPress website development projects, implementing innovative solutions, and ensuring the highest level of performance and reliability for our clients' websites. This individual will collaborate with our design and marketing teams to create visually appealing and user-friendly websites that drive engagement and meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites that are high-performing, secure, and user-friendly.
- Implement custom themes and plugins to extend WordPress functionality and meet project requirements.
- Optimize websites for speed, scalability, and SEO best practices.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design mockups into responsive and interactive web pages.
- Deploy, manage, and maintain WordPress sites on AWS infrastructure.
- Manage databases effectively using MySQL, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in WordPress, PHP, JavaScript, and AWS technologies.
- Optimize website performance and ensure responsiveness across all devices
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality
- Conduct website testing and troubleshooting
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in WordPress development
- Manage project timelines and deliver high-quality work within deadlines
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and standards
- Participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing sessions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio of WordPress projects.
- Expertise in front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and jQuery.
- Strong proficiency in PHP and MySQL, with experience in database management and optimization.
- Solid experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS for deploying and managing WordPress sites.
- Understanding of web hosting environments, CDNs, and caching mechanisms for performance enhancement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot site issues.
- Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Certifications in WordPress development or related technologies is a plus
