Senior WordPress Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a skilled Senior WordPress Developer who is passionate about creating dynamic and visually stunning websites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in WordPress development, including theme and plugin development, customization, and optimization. As a Senior WordPress Developer, you will collaborate with our design and development teams to translate client requirements into scalable and efficient WordPress solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet client specifications, optimizing performance and user experience.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Monitor and inform upstream on team performance and process improvements.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance website functionality and user interaction.
• Integrate content into WordPress themes, ensuring seamless user experiences
• Troubleshoot and debug WordPress issues, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in WordPress development, recommending innovative solutions to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Communicate effectively with project managers and stakeholders to provide status updates, gather requirements, and address any concerns or challenges.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members as needed.
• Continuously test, debug, and improve website performance, load times, and overall user experience.
• Work without support team on Wordpress issues

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your WordPress projects.
• Expertise in PHP programming and MySQL database management.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and mobile optimization techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and clients.
• Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role.
• Experience with popular page builders, such as Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, etc.
• Familiarity with website architecture, aesthetics, and user experience principles.
• Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
• Experience with performance optimization techniques for WordPress websites.
• Contributions to the WordPress community, such as plugins or themes published on WordPress.org.
