This is a remote position.
We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer (Full-stack) to join our team. This role requires strong experience with WordPress and React as well as Laravel proficiency. Applicants must be passionate about creating clean, scalable code and enjoy collaborating in a dynamic, distributed environment.
Responsibilities:
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Assist in testing and debugging code to ensure functionality and quality.
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and objectives.
- Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for code and development processes.
- Execute bug fixes.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.
- Participate in troubleshooting/triaging of issues and document them appropriately.
- Provide meaningful feedback and project updates to ensure projects stay on track and meet customer needs.
- Continuously improve your skills through practice and ongoing learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years development experience in the WordPress space
- Transparent and reliable, owns both successes and failures
- Strong experience with MySQL
- Knowledge of the product development life cycle
- Strong experience crafting modern PHP and working knowledge of current frameworks
- Proficient in React. js and its core principles
- Advanced HTML & CSS knowledge
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment
- A passion for improving software/systems
- Ability to work remotely with little-to-no oversight
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with developing blocks for the Block Editor.
Experience with continuous integration and automated deployment pipelines.
Experience building accessible, performant sites.
