This is a remote position.

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer (Full-stack) to join our team. This role requires strong experience with WordPress and React as well as Laravel proficiency. Applicants must be passionate about creating clean, scalable code and enjoy collaborating in a dynamic, distributed environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Assist in testing and debugging code to ensure functionality and quality.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand requirements and objectives.
  • Create and maintain clear and concise documentation for code and development processes.
  • Execute bug fixes.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with the team.
  • Participate in troubleshooting/triaging of issues and document them appropriately.
  • Provide meaningful feedback and project updates to ensure projects stay on track and meet customer needs.
  • Continuously improve your skills through practice and ongoing learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years development experience in the WordPress space
  • Transparent and reliable, owns both successes and failures
  • Strong experience with MySQL
  • Knowledge of the product development life cycle
  • Strong experience crafting modern PHP and working knowledge of current frameworks
  • Proficient in React. js and its core principles
  • Advanced HTML & CSS knowledge
  • Comfortable working in a Linux environment
  • A passion for improving software/systems
  • Ability to work remotely with little-to-no oversight

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with developing blocks for the Block Editor.

  • Experience with continuous integration and automated deployment pipelines.

  • Experience building accessible, performant sites.
